Fazenda Bishopsgate brings the theatrical art of rodizio-style churrascaria to the City, where passadores carve an endless parade of flame-kissed meats tableside from gleaming skewers. Under the guidance of Chef Suso Lopez, who trained across Spain, Italy, and South America, the kitchen honors the Brazilian tradition of fire-roasting with precision and respect for prime cuts. The expansive Market Table offers a strategic counterpoint—Brazilian cheeses, vibrant salads, and hot sides that pace the protein onslaught—while the standalone Fino bar downstairs sets the stage with South American cocktails and a Coravin-powered wine program featuring Argentine Malbecs and Chilean Carmenères by the glass.
Start at Fino downstairs for a cocktail before your reservation—it separates the experience from rushed business dinners and gives you time to properly arrive.
Chef Suso Lopez brings serious European and South American credentials to Fazenda's London flagship, having spent five years studying culinary arts in Spain and two in Italy before working across restaurants in Europe, South America, and Asia. Most recently, he served as Head Chef at BiBo by Dani Garcia, absorbing techniques from one of Spain's most celebrated contemporary chefs. At Fazenda, Lopez works under the mentorship of Executive Chef Francisco Martinez, translating traditional Brazilian churrasco methods through his refined European training while respecting the integrity of fire-roasted meats and bold South American flavors.
Four dimensions, each assessed independently against the same criteria everywhere we rate.
The quality of the beef—particularly the picanha and costela (short rib)—shows proper understanding of Brazilian butchery and fire management, with cuts arriving juicy and properly seasoned from the churrasco grill. The Market Table functions as more than filler, offering housemade chimichurri, feijoada, and a respectable spread of artisanal cheeses and charcuterie that provide essential relief between meat courses. Lamb consistently earns praise for tenderness, though some tougher cuts of sirloin can appear during peak service.
The dining room channels sophisticated warehouse-chic—high ceilings, polished finishes, and an airy layout that manages the controlled chaos of continuous tableside carving without feeling cramped. Energy runs high and convivial, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings when corporate groups and celebratory parties pack the upstairs space. The Fino bar downstairs offers a more intimate, cocktail-focused atmosphere for pre- or post-dinner drinks away from the main dining theater.
The brigade operates with well-drilled precision, with passadores reading table signals (the red-and-green tokens) attentively and carving with practiced efficiency. Staff demonstrate genuine hospitality and cultural knowledge, explaining cuts and cooking methods without pretense, though pacing can occasionally lag during Friday and Saturday dinner rushes. The team excels at accommodating celebrations, often surprising birthday guests with personalized touches.
Located at 100 Bishopsgate, just minutes from Liverpool Street Station, the restaurant occupies a sleek, multi-level space with contemporary Brazilian design cues and generous natural light. The upstairs dining room features clean lines, warm wood accents, and a layout that gives each table breathing room despite the restaurant's substantial capacity. Finishing touches—from lighting to tableware—reflect a refined sensibility that elevates the rodizio format beyond casual churrascaria territory.
These four dimensions are a handful of the attributes we review. The Insider Rating also draws on research the compass does not display — among them the wine programme, the size and quality of the cellar, the location, and how long the house has operated. It is not an average of the scores above.
